EXPANSION PROJECT

WE ARE EXPANDING!

BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE

ABOUT THE EXPANSION

BOLT has been working with the Oklahoma Broadband Office (OBO) for the past several months. The OBO has been tasked with distributing grant dollars through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 to increase broadband access in unserved and underserved locations throughout Oklahoma. In February 2024, BOLT was awarded $22 million dollars from the the American Rescue Plan Act State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. This funding will help reach an additional 7,000 potential locations across four counties: Craig, Delaware, Mayes, and Ottawa. BOLT is thrilled to bring this long-awaited expansion to reality. Once all potential locations were evaluated for service, BOLT has opted to invest an additional $18 million dollars in a continuing effort to bridge the digital divide. We recognize the importance of reliable internet service for work, school, and other daily activities, and are committed to making this a reality for northeast Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Broadband Office (OBO) recently awarded over $158 million in ARPA Capital Projects Fund grants to fifty different projects statewide. BOLT Fiber was awarded $1.4 million of that total and will add a fifty percent match. This funding will directly impact Rogers County with an additional 500 locations being served.

WHAT LOCATIONS WILL BE SERVED?
